Sisley's vegan meal in Singapore

Sisley from Centennial, CO., wrote to me about her vegan meal she had in Singapore last september. She was travelling to India with her husband and they decided to drop by Singapore for a day. She managed to take a picture of the food and it looks great! Reminds me of an excellent mock roast duck meal I had at a vegetarian restaurant once. Unfortunately, she can't remember the name of the restaurant she went, except that it seemed to be across the street from the main tourist information office.

Sisley also had a non-vegan story at totally not vegan. Her story title is "If you can't trust your sister..."

Hehe, i know where is it, and by the look of the table cloth and utensil, is at Hong Ge (Grand Court Vegetarian Restaurant), beside Somerset MRT. Not bad, but you guys must try LingZhi Vegetarian Restaurant, it's a bit more expensive, but worth it! :)

OMG, Zlyrica, that is so funny! It IS the Grand Court! Thank you so much, it was driving me crazy.
Dreamy, we'll definitely be back as soon as we can. Singapore is truly one of our favorite places ever.
Plus, we need to try all the other veg places! :)

Yes! That's the Grand court! I love the food there better than Lingzhi coz I eat a lot and Lingzhi's portion is too small to satisfy my tummy. :P

Sisley, if you happen to visit Kuala Lumpur (in Malaysia) you should try the food at Giant Bowl at PJ. It has the best vegetarian food I had eaten! Must try-- Mock fish head curry (unbeatable!) and also the mock fatty pork with preserved veg (Mui choi). Tastes heavenly!

I've only been there once, but the taste is so good that I still remember how delicious the food are! :P~~

Wow.. u can tell which restaurant it's from just looking at the food!

Giant bowl is the name of the veg restaurant or the shopping center or?

Sisley, you should try eating at Malaysia if you come to this area next time, Malaysia got really good food! :)

I just went to Grand Court last Friday so I can still recall the table setting. (And I looked at the pictures I took to verify)

Giant Bowl is the restaurant's name. It is in one of the shophouses at PJ SS2. Ever since I became a vegetarian last year, I still miss some of those non-vegetarian dishes. Giant Bowl serves really good mock versions. It's almost unbelievable that they tastes so similar to the ones with meat that I even suspected that they are using real meat. And my non-vegetarian relatives, who ate there with us, were also very surprised!

P/S: How I wish they will open a shop here in SG.
