Yong Tau Fu and more dishes from 8 Treasures Vegetarian Restaurant

Yong Tau Fu from Xing Hua stall at 1st floor fortune centre. $4 for 7 items. Unlike the normal yong tau fu, their's has got no stuffing in the ladies fingers, brinjal, chili etc, except for bitter gourd.

My friend is a fan of the food at 8 treasures... so we were back there for her birthday. Pickled-olive vegetable dish - can't remember if it was a tofu dish or veggie dish. The one on the right is black pepper monkey head mushrooms.

Cereal mock prawn.

More 8 treasures food here and here.

Hi, Thanks for sharing all these good vegetarian eating places - great for me since I recently returned to Singapore from the US. I have also tried the Miao Yi Veg restaurant and find them to be good - just ask the waiter for recommendation - they have many original and good recommendations.

Hi, great to see a fellow vegan blogging :)
I've been a vegan for almost a year now (was a vegetarian previously), and was wondering if the cereal mock prawns sold in most vegetarian stalls here are vegan? Do the ones at this recommended restaurant contain butter or other dairy products?

Thanks :)

Hi Thomas,

Thanks for the recommendation.

Hi Anonymous,

The cereal prawns are done with butter, but you can ask the kitchen to omit the butter.
