East Point mall near simei MRT used to have a vegetarian stall, but I couldn't find it the last time I went, so I guess it has closed down. It's really sad to see veg stalls closing down. Perhaps veg food seem tasteless to omnivores. I guess it depends on how you cooked it. Unlike in the western countries where the five strongly flavoured veggies are used in veg-cooking, these are usually avoided in local chinese veg stalls because many vegetarians here do not eat the veggies for religious and other reasons. The five types of veggies are: garlics, onions, leeks, shallots (scallion) and chives. In meat dishes, these five kinds of veggies and other spices are used to flavour meat. Since they are omitted from veg cooking, the food may taste bland to omnivores who are used to that taste.
