Mother hen adopts abadoned ducklings

A mother hen has adopted 3 ducklings who were abandoned by their duck mother. The mother hen even tries to teach her 3 new kids how to scratch around for food. How sweet! I wonder how the mother hen communicates with them? It reminds me of a video where a leopard after killing a baboon, realised that she left a baby behind and instead of killing it with one bite, the leopard tried to take care of it. It's heart warming to know that even animals can allow their love to go beyond their own species. As humans with a higher level of intellect, all the more we should be vegetarians.

If hens can be so progressive, why can't humans?

You are welcome Kleopatra :) Thank the news.. I forgot to stick the link to the news in the post :p

Hahaha.. funny you put it that way Urbanvegan!

yes, veggiebun is right, mr bean's soy ice cream contains dairy. No worries, it's not hard to be a vegan here. Check out Singapore vegetarian society food outlets for places where u can veg out. There are quite few vegans in the forum you can get more information also. Ice cream - there's rice dream at cold storage. Candy is the one that's hard to get. The only one I know that's vegan for now is polo.
