Kill it, Skin it, Wear it

I am somehow torn between better welfare for the animals in the cruel industries (since it seems to be almost impossible to rid of these industries forever, might as well lessen the harm) and the elimination of these industries as a whole. After this video, I think it would be more sensible that the cruel industry does not exist. Regulation of these industries may well promote the industry by letting us think that the practice is more humane and acceptable.

Somehow, rejection of fur seems easier to accept than rejection of meat. Perhaps it's because it's easy to give up fur and say proudly "I am fur-free" than to give up meat and animal products where they infiltrate our everyday lives.

This is very true! humans are generally exceedingly attached to their food. I think its more than just its presence in our everyday lives - we form really strong emotional relationships with the foods we eat and "depend on". It makes people terrified of considering fasting for a few days.

I have no personal interest in swimming. I also think that far to many children die from drownings in swimming pools. However, you don't see me or thousands of others protesting the pool industry. If you have no interest in something it does not give you the right to take that GOD GIVEN right away from me. I love the taste of meat and GOD gave teeth to eat it
