The secret

A few weeks ago I was given a DVD from my cousin entitled "The Secret", I have actually come across this DVD before and was very interested to know the contents in it.

Now that I have discovered it, I'd like to share with you. The secret states that "like attracts like", and this is the Law of Attraction. One section of the DVD states that if we want to end poverty, abortion... we have got to be "pro-wealthy", "pro-life", instead of "anti-poverty", "anti-abortion". Thinking of anti-this and anti-that, we are actually focusing on them, and it will cause more to come.

I think this is important in the promotion of vegetarianism and veganism in the world. I have seen many organisations which are "anti-fur", "anti-meat and dairy", "anti-cruelty to animals", "anti-animal testing labs"... this seems to cause more of such situations if the above example was applied. Perhaps, it would be good if we focus on "pro-veg eateries", "pro-veg-companies", "pro-good veg food", "pro-animals living safe and happily". One person doing this may not cause a major change in the world, but if many people are doing this it would be different.

Robert F. Kennedy once said "Each time a person stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, these ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance."
