Vegan vampire

Moby the musician, who is a vegan, likes the idea of being a vampire. It's really strange sometimes that what other people are thinking can be similar to what you are thinking about too. No I am not saying I like to be a vampire :D, I was thinking of a vegan vampire comic just recently.

A modern vampire probably don't have to go scare the hell out of their victims nowdays, with so many factory farms and animals slaughtered daily, plenty of fresh blood's available. They can even sit in a bar and order their blood shot. Well, unless they are picky and don't like rabbit's food.. eh.. "human's food" is a better term.

What about a vegan vampire? Tomato juice comes to mind. One of my friend who's a blood donor say coconut water is good after a round of blood donation. He also recommends red beets in one of his "after-donation" recipes. Ok, now we've got three ingredients. The other two components found in blood are protein and iron. So we can include blended silken tofu and black strap molasses to the mixture. Urgh.. I wonder how it will taste. Enough wierdness for today.

You can read more about Moby's vampireness here.

Wouldn't donated blood be vegan? I guess I wouldn't mind if the blood I donate would be used by a starving vegan vampire...

I believe the researchers are very close to manufacture artificial blood now, to the delight of all vegan vampires.

As for me, I'm too fond of garlic to go that route, vegan or not. :D

I am sure you can still be a vampire. Maybe a new breed - vegan garlic-loving vampires hehe.. invincible!
