How real should your mock meat be?

Can you tell real from fake meat in your burger? Perhaps some can't, but most of us, especially vegetarians and vegans can. Will this continue to be so, I am not too sure. Not after I have seen this video.

After 10 years, scientists at the University of Missouri, have come up with this, do you dare to eat it?
I think it looks pretty scary. We will no longer be able to differentiate the real from the fake. I wonder if the day will come where people will start to sell vegetarian-labelled burgers containing real meat.

Yes, Eda and wang wang, I agree. I was referring to the whole piece of mock meat substituted by a whole piece of real meat, when no one can differentiate them anymore..

but it will be silly to do that. The mock meat products will cost less so why would retailers want to sell something worth more money at a lower cost.

It is more likely that a lot of the real meat will be secretly substituted with mock meat without the knowledge of the consumers

hmm yes, good thinking, I didn't think of the price at all! Hopefully the mock meat will be cheaper than the real thing.
